1. Description
The ESFR-161/74°C P (K=161) Early Suppression Fast Response Pendant Sprinkler utilizes a fusible alloy welding component as its thermal element. This sprinkler features a flow coefficient of K=161 and a specially designed deflector that produces large-diameter, high-energy water droplets, forming a hemispherical water pattern below. This characteristic allows the water droplets to cool the hot air generated in the early stages of a fire while penetrating the flames to directly cool the burning material. As a result, this sprinkler offers distinct advantages for protecting high-piled storage warehouses.
It is primarily used to protect most palletized or non-palletized ordinary materials, including carton-packed non-foam plastics, with a maximum storage height of 10.7m. It can also be used for the protection of cylindrical paper product warehouses and rubber tire warehouses.

2. Working Principle
The thermal element in the release mechanism of the welded fusible element sprinkler consists of two equal-length connectors joined by a fusible alloy welding layer. When the operating temperature is reached, the solder joint melts, the connectors separate, and the sprinkler is activated to discharge water. Typically, the force generated by water pressure at the sprinkler inlet and the assembly load applied to the sprinkler body exert significant mechanical pressure on the thermal element. The welded fusible element sprinkler employs the lever principle to reduce the force acting on the fusible connector. In this design, mechanical pressure is distributed as forces on the support pillars, mechanical forces on the fusible connector, and the load on the solder between the fusible connector components. This results in lower stress on the solder, preventing cold flow of the solder composition required for activation under high stress.
